GENERAL RULES & REGULATIONS EXAMINATION
The final examination in theory and practical are held twice in a year at the end of the session December – January and June – July.

CERTIFICATION
Every successful declared student will be awarded Certificate by the All India Council of Open Schooling in each education programme.

Age & Sex
There will be no restriction of age, caste, sex, region, country under open and distance education system of the Council.

Medium
The medium of each education programme will be according to their Regional Language/ State Language/ Country Language. But Question Paper will be published only in English, Hindi & Bengali. Student can give answer in English/ Hindi or his/ her state language. But it should be mentioned earlier in the examination form.Secondary Course This Course is equivalent to the Xth standard.

Senior Secondary Course
This Course is designed for those who have passed the Xth standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Council and would like to continue their education towards a Senior Secondary Certification, equivalent to XII standard.

Reservation
Reservation will be given as per the appropriate Government Policy. The Student should submit, the testimonials along with their application forms to avail reservations under various course of AICOS. The Council provides reservation of seats for SC, Scheduled Tribes, and Students below Poverty Line, Other Backward Classes and Physically Handicapped Students, as per the Government of India Rules, for admission under its various courses.
